Readers will note that through all this back and forth described below former nurse and social conservative activist Jill Stanek never actually responded to Arch’s original point about what he sees as her ulterior motive for attacking Carly Fiorina [see the update below for a response by one of Ms. Stanek's compadres]. Rather, she has tried to distract away from it by first missing the point (or perhaps ignoring it) and later turning to sideshows about blog rankings.
The courteous gentlemen and gentleladies at Ill Review have taken to spewing “sheep vomit”* on Archpundit now that he’s back to blogging (and pointing such things out) after his father has recovered and is out of the hospital.
In response to Ms. Stanek’s odd reference to blog ranks, Arch points out that his blog and their’s are essentially tied, even though his has been all but dormant for a month, with Ill Review ranking 1.179 mil and Arch at 1.268 mil in the US (this, out of more than 11 million blogs globally according to Technorati).
And why does everything — apparently even blogging — come back to terrorists for some conservative “gentlemen”? (Have Ill Review contributors never heard of remote Internet Service Providers? They do still, for the most part, support Pres. Bush and he’s been a master at promoting overseas outsourcing… even on Internet technology.)
It’s as if these guys and gals are bored with their presidential candidate and taking out their frustration with him on their fellow Americans… or maybe this self-congratulatory group really does think their fellow Americans have blood dripping from fangs and that they’re somehow doing their countrymen some good by continuing to promote such divisive material.
For the record, Ms. Stanek was originally complaining in her World Net Daily column that McCain stumper Carly Fiorina was helping a “pro-abort agenda” by calling for equal insurance coverage for the Pill in relation to ED drugs like Viagra. Arch pointed out her nanny-state ulterior motive as Ms. Stanek illogically leaped from Ms. Fiorina’s legitimate issue of seeking equal insurance coverage to a polemic against a “pro-abort agenda.”
Ms. Stanek has yet to directly respond to Arch’s conclusion.
* “sheep vomit” = what some who dispute Ill Review’s constant flow of distorted and downright false baloney have taken to calling their commentary
UPDATE: Conservative Illinois Review reader George Kocan responds to Archpundit’s claim. Wow… Has he never heard of the Constitution of the United States and old fashioned ideas like liberty and privacy? An apparent advocate of turning our Shining Beacon on a Hill into a hardline, Big Brother nanny-state, Mr. Kocan demands:
If “it” isn’t about controlling womens’ sexuality, it should be. Womens’ sexuality is socially disruptive. Men have fought wars over it. Men take stupid risks over it. Men spend inordinate amounts of time and money on it. Kids come into the world because of it, and if the parents are poorly prepared, they kids bear the brunt of the parents’ mistakes; they even die because of it. What makes anyone think that sexual behavior should not be controlled?
Obviously, global warming, beer bellies and Osama bin Forgotten are all directly the fault of Carly Fiorina and the specter of the “pro-abort agenda” she raised as they demand equality in insurance coverage… Janet Jackson’s nipple might’ve had something to do with it too. (At least it wasn’t the fault of gay Americans serving in our intrepid Armed Forces… Had me worried there.)
I’m all for personal responsibility … and liberty.
