What planet is Eunice Conn on? She tells us today that she was:
…a bit saddened when I read that [Illinois Republican Party chair] Andy McKenna endorsed Steve Sauerberg … because Mr. McKenna did not meet with all the candidates running for the U.S. Senate seat.
You see, Eunice apparently knows another Republican candidate, Mike Psak. And I can understand her disappointment to a degree. Dr. Sauerberg hedged on so many questions at his kick-off announcement that news columnists labeled him “slippery“.
But poor, poor Eunice… She must’ve missed all the news about Andy McKenna and IRP specifically recruiting Dr. Sauerberg. Why wouldn’t Mr. McKenna endorse him?

I agree with Eunice. Sauerberg will lose the primary to Psak, a Chicago conservative who has been campaigning for about 18 months. He’s a member of the Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee. He supports President Bush’s Iraq policies. Psak is pro-tax cuts, pro-spending cuts, pro-life, anti-illegal alien, pro-gun rights, and anti-gay marriage. Please read his website, http://www.psak4ussenate.com.

Interesting…
- What taxes would he cut?
- What spending would he cut in order to follow PAYGO rules?
- If he is “pro-life” — is he against the war which is killing thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children?
- Does he plan to deport all illegal aliens? How does he propose to pay for tracking them down and physically deporting them (esp. in light of his interest in cutting taxes)?
- What does “pro-gun rights” mean? The second amendment is part of our Constitution, does he interpret this amendment liberally or narrowly?
- Why does he oppose equal marriage for all? Does he also propose banning marriage for infertile couples since the lack of an ability to reproduce is often cited by conservatives as the rationale for discrimination?
….Thanks for stopping by to spam the blog a week and a half after I wrote my original post, Mr. Collins. I look forward to your responses, or those of Mr. Psak himself.
I do wish the best for Mr. Psak. Sen. Durbin might have re-elect numbers along the lines of record-breaking Obama/Keyes race.
